DOES RIVERSIDE FLOWERS DELIVER TO HELFORD AND ST. MAWES?

People often get confused about where places are in Cornwall for delivery purposes.  Villages such as Helford and St. Mawes look very close to Mawnan Smith and Falmouth as the crow flies, but there is a river in between making it too far for us to deliver cost effectively.  We would have to go by ferry or quite a distance around the river by road.

ARE HELFORD AND HELFORD PASSAGE THE SAME PLACE?

There is often confusion between Helford and Helford passage.  Helford Passage is situated on the edge of the river close to Mawnan Smith.  Helford is a picturesque village facing Helford Passage on the opposite side of the river.  A foot ferry runs between the two.  (We only deliver to Helford passage as the road distance is too far to Helford village.)

Delivery prices can be found on the delivery page as well as at checkout before purchasing your goods.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY FLOWERS?

To prolong the life of your flowers please follow these simple guidelines below:

  • Before putting in a vase or arranging please re-cut the ends of your fresh flowers, using a slant cut of about 1cm.

  • Place in fresh cold water and regularly change.  Use the recommended plant food that comes with the flowers.

  • Flower life is extended if they are kept in cool temperatures, away from fires and central heating.  Please avoid placing in draughts.

  • Remember that arrangements need water too.  Keep the flower foam moist at all times.

  • Most flowers benefit from an occasional fine mist of water from a flower spray bottle.

  • Remove any dead heads

  • Hand-tied bouquets are arranged so that they can be placed straight in a vase. Do not un-tie the stems.  It is advisable to remove the water pack from the base and place the stems in fresh, cool water.  These packs are only there to ensure that flowers are fresh upon arrival.
